To get more impact, get on the belt path!
Whether you are a White or a Green belt, we would like to encourage you to progress in your Fresker’s journey. Each new belt you pass will be an opportunity to gain new skills, a better understanding of climate change, and to have a bigger impact through climate education. It is also a way of strengthening the Climate Fresk communities emerging around the world, as more and more people engage in this journey. Starting with 600 international facilitators outside of France in August, there are now more than 1,700 facilitators, and counting!
As you progress through the belt levels, you are encouraged to read articles that have been chosen as tailored to your level of expertise. You also gain facilitation easiness and a handle on new tools.
Pass your Orange Belt, for instance, to learn how to manage CEKOs (Climate Education Kick-Off) in Universities! They are great way to reach a large audience at once. 1,500 people discovered Climate Fresk through international CEKOs in 2021, and in France, these large-scale events have reached over 90,000 students.
Evenmore impactful, passing your Green Belt and becoming a trainer means greatly multiplying your reach, as each person you train will be empowered to facilitate workshops for dozens of participants. This is particularly important as the organisation develops internationally, for the demand for English training sessions is growing fast. 2022 starts with 20 trainers outside of French borders, and we are aiming to reach a hundred by the end of the year.
Eventually, you can also become a Blue Belt, a Climate Fresk Instructor, and reach an even greater level of impact. The presence of Blue Belt Freskers in countries where Climate Fresk is growing is also a great lever of success for the whole community!
