All hands on deck for COP27 with the Climate Fresk

COP27 will be held in Egypt, in November. Don’t miss the Climate Fresk there!

The city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, will host the 27th UN International Conference on Climate Change, also known as COP27, from 7 to 18 November.

This COP will bring together institutional and civil society actors from all over the world. No better place than there to introduce Climate Fresk to a large and influential international audience. And thus, no better time than then to help promote quality climate education on a global scale

On that account, a delegation composed of Egyptian and international Freskers, Climate Fresk Country Coordinators and some members of the permanent team will be on site. They will organise workshops, facilitator trainings, Fresk Quizzes and develop its network. If you are planning to go to COP27, feel free to get in touch with us at: cop27@climatefresk.org!

In Egypt, our goal will be to introduce the association and its workshops to as many other organisations as possible. We want those seeking to raise awareness on climate change within their structures, their networks and their communities to know we can help. Ultimately, the aim is to increase the workshop’s international reach, in accordance with the NGO’s purpose.

To shine yet another spotlight on the Fresk, members of our delegation will represent the association at several multi-stakeholder events held within the Blue Zone, which is the area managed by the UN. Only official Member States delegations and accredited organisations can access it, and it also serves as the negotiation area.

These events will see Freskers participate in conferences and round tables on climate education. Some of those will even be co-organised by the association. You can already find an official planning on our website’s dedicated page. In addition, some of these events will be broadcasted live on the pavilions’ YouTube channels and/or social networks! To top this off, Climate Fresk’s credibility and longstanding commitment have been once again rewarded: just like during the COP26, several of our events will be hosted by official national pavilions, including the French one!

Preparing this COP has also enabled us to strengthen the Egyptian’s Fresker community. We honor their several months-long mobilisation to train new facilitators in the run-up to the event, and to support the logistical organisation of our delegation’s visit. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

Eventually, we would encourage everyone to consider this COP as a great opportunity to mobilise the international community! So, to all of you organising workshops and facilitator training during November: make full use of COP27 to increase your actions’ visibility, and their subsequent impact! At Climate Fresk, there are no small parts, and there’s no better time to help the association increase its global reach!

Climate Collage is now Climate Fresk!

We are still the same! We just changed our name ;)
