COP26 Expert Insights gathered by Freskers
Freskers put on their reporter hats during COP26 and interviewed ten climate experts and activists.
The volunteers’ intention was to gain a better understanding of economic, political and social issues that are linked, directly or indirectly, to climate change. Topics addressed in this long-form video series range from carbon-neutrality to sustainable finance, and offer a variety of different viewpoints from specialists and activists involved in these fields.
Let’s have a closer look at at two of these ten interviews!
Valérie Masson-Delmotte, co-chair of the IPCC Working group I, presents the first working group of the latest IPCC report and the methodology that backs it. In this video, she explains how making this scientific knowledge available to all has positively contributed to the fight against climate change.
Saleemul Huq, Director of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development shares his experience of contributing to several IPCC reports. In this video, he walks us through the evolution of the assessment over time and highlights the importance of choosing an empowering narrative when it comes to climate action.
