For the past 30 years, ADEME has been involved in the fight against climate change and resource degradation! The environmental agency decided to celebrate their birthday with a special event and, naturally, Climate Fresk was there!
What is ADEME?
Created by the state in 1992, its mission is to push boundaries and build a better, more united society. It works with the different sectors of society (public, private, civic) to accelerate the reduction of their energy consumption, help them develop renewable energy sources and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. That’s why it supports every stage of innovation, and facilitates the sharing of solutions that can propogate best practices and improve understanding across society.
It developed the “Nos gestes climat” (Our climate acts) project with students from Centrale Nantes university to help calculate our carbon footprint. If you speak French, we’d really encourage you to check it out: https://nosgestesclimat.fr/
One week to raise awareness, share solutions and debate
To celebrate its birthday, Ademe launched the first edition of its “Great Ecological Challenge” in Angers, where its headquarters are based. The challenge was split into three parts:

Climate Fresk was there!
ADEME invited Climate Fresk to help raise awareness of climate change for the attendees. Freskers even facilitated workshops in the heart of the magnificent Le Quai theatre! A dream team of Freskers ran workshops for young people working in the voluntary service.
Well done to all the Freskers who got togther for this exceptional event! A special thanks to Renaud Bonnel, Sylvie Caro, Jean Esnault and Isabelle Guyot who facilitated the workshops in the Théâtre.
