The link to create a facilitator account is missing

Since the platform update, it is no longer possible to create an account and join the Fresker’s journey by clicking on a simple link. Accounts are now created when participants are registered during their facilitation training session (that was organised on the platform). Within minutes, participants will automatically receive an email with a link to activate their account.

This allows two things:

  • A common core of skills for white belts
    In order to ensure a certain level of training, we want to make sure that all white belts have taken a facilitation training led by someone who is at least a green belt. Activating the account at the time of registration will prevent untrained people from joining the course
  • Knowing the facilitators’ genealogy and descendants
    Through the sign-up process, we are able to track who has been trained by whom. This will be very useful for the green belts to keep in touch with the people they have trained, and to know their “descendants”! (e.g.: I trained X people to facilitate, who have now facilitated sessions for Y people)

How to activate the accounts?

Case 1: you have organised your training session on the platform

The accounts will be created when the facilitators record attendances on the day of the session. In the following minutes, participants will automatically receive an email with a link to activate their account. You have up to one week to record attendances, Reminder: the best practice is to do it during the session, it only takes a few minutes.

Case 2: you have organised your training outside of the platform

Your life would have been easier if you had organised it on the platform, by clicking on Create a session > upcoming! More seriously, we are working to make your work easier, and we are well aware that the current functionality is not ideal.
In the meantime, please follow the steps below so that your participants can activate their account:

  1. Click on “Create a session” and then “Upcoming”
  2. Create a facilitation training that starts immediately (for example, if it’s Monday, March 12 at 2pm, create a session starting March 12 at 2pm)
  3. Once the training is created, click on “My participants”
  4. Add your participants 1 by 1 by clicking on “Last minute”. They will be recorded as attendees and will receive the activation email.
