Time for Earth Day 2.0

Earth Day is on 22nd April. Last year, more than 700 people in 20 countries attended a Climate Fresk workshop for the occasion. How high can we aim for 2023?

Following last year’s success, we’re launching the Climate Fresk Earth Week 2023! With your help, we want to run as many public workshops and facilitation trainings as possible from 17th – 22nd April, all over the world! We want to use this opportunity to gain visibility and unite as a global community. For this year’s event, we are proposing a focus on the themeJourney on together’.

But what does this mean?

Our statistics show that a huge proportion of trained Freskers are white belts and have never made it to running their first Fresk. If that’s you, we completely get it – the first Fresk is the hardest! That’s why we want to help you overcome that initial barrier.

Earth Day is a great opportunity to get stuck in and support each other to upskill the community

Support a white belt to run their first Fresk!

Our bet is that a facilitator who has run at least a few Fresks is the best person to help a new recruit take the plunge! For Earth Week 2023, we would like to challenge every yellow, orange, green and blue belt Fresker to pair up with a white belt and help them run their first Fresk!

So, how do we make this happen? White belts, check out the Fresker Directory (found under the ‘Community’ tab of the online facilitator’s space) and get in touch with nearby facilitators. Ask your country coordinator, if you need help finding a willing veteran. Yellow belts and upwards, we’re confident you’ll warmly welcome requests to co-facilitate and do your best to encourage beginners! If you’re keen, let your country coordinator know.
