New Year, new cards!
A new version of the cards is now available! This update aims to better illustrate the fact that climate issues affect absolutely everyone, regardless of who they are or where they live.
Five cards get a makeover
Some of the images on the cards could give the impression that climate change only affects people in the southern hemisphere. As we know, the impact of climate change will be felt by every single person on Earth. Thus, several photos have been updated to reinforce this principle in the minds of participants. Five cards have been given a fresh look: River Flooding (26), Heatwaves (36), Famines (37), Human Health (38) and Climate Refugees (39). These changes apply in all existing versions of the game, adult and children’s packs, in all languages. You can download this new version on this page.
Rewording the captions
Some of the card captions have been reworded, such as the Climate Refugees (39) card, which now reads: ‘The consequences of climate change will inevitably make some ecosystems uninhabitable for humans, and will force people to migrate.’
Please note that while substituting one photo for another is fairly quick, changing the captions in many different languages takes a bit longer! Don’t be alarmed if the captions haven’t been updated yet in your language – you should be able to access the updated version by April!
