At Haleon, Climate Fresk has helped employees deepen their understanding of climate change and connect sustainability to their professional and personal lives. What began as a pilot in Switzerland developed into an internal rollout, with employees across functions becoming advocates for change.
Haleon has a carbon-reduction roadmap, but engaging employees requires more than setting targets. People need to understand the science behind climate change, why action matters and how they can contribute — both in their roles and beyond the workplace.
Haleon began with a pilot involving a cross-functional brand team, including colleagues from commercial, marketing, R&D and supply chain. Following positive feedback, the workshop was adapted to strengthen its connection to action in the workplace while retaining its strong overall reception.
The company then trained internal facilitators from different functions, enabling Climate Fresk to reach more employees and encouraging participants to share their experience with colleagues.
By the end of 2023, 100 people had participated in Climate Fresk. Feedback from employees across different functions and levels of seniority highlighted greater understanding, motivation and a desire to integrate climate action into both professional and personal life.
For Haleon, Climate Fresk offers a way to build shared understanding and develop a broader network of employees motivated to contribute to the company’s sustainability journey.
We are still the same! We just changed our name ;)
